The birds we keep and Exhibit now and recognise as Chocolates are the birds that arrived in the UK from Continental Europe (the Netherlands and Belgium) in the 1990's
Developed for Exhibition they were called Zwart Bruin which translates to Black Brown and were the result of hybridisation with in the main the Black Headed Munia, our original Self Chocolates which were very similar in colour to their original Sharp Tailed Munia ancestors have disappeared from most Exhibitors birdrooms now.
                                           As far as I am aware our Chocolate and White Variegated birds are still the same stock we have always Exhibited in the UK
                 There is no difference in the genetic inheritance of Chocolates be they Black Browns or the original Chocolates also Variegated birds follow the same inheritance
